Betrayal

The ‘Six Words Stories Challenge’ helps me talk about topics that affect me tremendously. While last week’s prompt, ‘Delay: – Better Delay Than Die‘ brought out an element that has been experienced by many people in real life, this week’s prompt – ‘betrayal’ has made me somber with the first thought that came to my mind – child abuse! The worst thing about child abuse that pierces my heart and makes it bleed is the fact that more often than not the offenders are family members, close relatives and friends; people whom the child trusted the most. A thing of shame that may prevent the child from ever talking about it to anyone and living with the trauma for life; the worst kind of betrayal that any being can suffer in his lifetime.

In an attempt to spread the awareness and protect our children, here is this week’s story:

Her father, her hero, her predator!
