Flirting with Sleep

Slumber oh! Slumber
I desire thy sweet embrace
Thou elude me so

Snuggle close to me
Envelope me in thy arms
Desert me never

Our destiny cinched
Inevitable fated
Is our rendezvous
This Haiku was shared with Haiku Horizons – Sleep

A Haiku is a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five; traditionally evoking images of the natural world.
